Passive of the Gerunds
Arkasından fiilimsi (gerund) alan “enjoy, hate like, vs.” gibi fiiller belirtisiz nesne (indirect object) aldıklarında, bunları edilgen (passive) olarakta ifade edebiliriz.

· He dislikes someone calling him by his first name. (active)
  He dislikes being called by his first name.(passive)
· Most of film stars like people admiring them. (active)
  Most of film stars like being admired. (passive)
· He is afraid of someone recognizing him. (active)
  He was afraid of being recognized. (passive)
· Sam remembers his girlfriend invited him to Jane's birthday party.
  He remembers having been invited by his girlfriend to Jane's birthday party.

Passive of the Infinitives
Arkasından mastar (infinitive) alan “want, ask would like deserve, vs.” gibi fiiller belirtisiz nesne (indirect object) aldıklarında, bunları edilgen (passive) olarakta ifade edebiliriz.

· He would like someone to drive him home (active)
  He would like to be driven home.(passive)
· She asked the manager to permit her to go home.(active)
  She asked the manager to be permitted to go home. (passive)
· He wants us to finish the work today.
  He wants the work to be finished today.
· I would like someone to correct me if I make a mistake.
  I would like to be corrected if I make a mistake.

Passive of the Participles
See, watch, observe, hear,feel, vs, gibi fillerin kullanıldığı, arkasından belirtisiz nesne (indirect object) alan bazı cümle yapılarında eylem belirten zarf cümleciklerini (participle) edilgen (passive) olarak ta ifade edebiliriz.

· They heard him calling for help.
  He was heard calling for help
· I saw three men beating him yesterday.
  I saw him being beaten by three men yesterday.
· The policeman simply watched the demonstrators turning upside the cars.
  The policeman simply watched the cars being turned upside down by the demonstrators.

Passive of the Verbs Which Take  “Bare Infinitive”
Make, let, see, help, vs gibi bazı filler arkasından bir belirtisiz nesne (indirect object) aldıklarında onları takip eden bir yalın fill (bere infinitive) kullanılır. “Make, let, see, help, vs” fiillerini içeren cümleler bu yapı özelikleri içinde passive cümlelere dönüştürüldüğünde kullanılan yalın fiil (bare infinitive) “let” hariç mastar fiil (“to” infinitive) olur. “Let” fiili her iki durumda da yalın olarak kullanılır.

· They made him clean the house.
   He was made to clean the house.
· We saw him enter the building.
  He was seen to enter the building.
· The teacher let us know that he wouldn't tolerate any misbehavior.
  The teacher let it be known that he wouldn't tolerate any misbehavior.

Passive of the Subjunctives
· It is vital that the natural resources of the country be conserved.
· It is crucial that the endangered species of animals and plants be preserved.
· The guerrillas demand that their friends be released.

Passive of Be +To Infinitive
· The new cabinet is to be announced today.
· He was to have been invited but they lost his address.
· He was nowhere to be found.
· An immediate by-pass operation is essential if the patient's life is to be saved.

Passive Voice in Reduced Clauses

· The doctor involved was nowhere to be found.
· The man accused of murder and robbery denied the charges.
· Although supported by some influential politicians, he wasn't elected.

Decide , agree, ve plan gibi bazı filler edilgen (passive) olarak kullanılırken genellikle “it” öznesi alır.

· It was decided to close down the factory.
· It was planned to build an extension to the school.
